On this #GivingTuesday, as we think about all the ways we can give, this year consider supporting our future problem-solvers, innovators and change-makers. Every possibility exists in a child’s mind, and within them lies the possible cure for diseases, saving our planet, and innovating in ways we cannot even begin to imagine.
At Ohio Invention League’s Invention Convention, we are helping educators, program leaders, and parents activate the STEAM-learning skills within their students needed to solve the world’s problems. We are developing their confidence, creative and critical thinking, determination, and their ability to “figure it out”.
Through invention education, students are learning and practicing like scientists, engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs, preparing them for the future workforce. Using their empathy and curiosity, Ohio’s youth in grades K-12 are identifying real-world problems and developing and presenting their solutions. Ohio’s students are learning that they are the change-makers for our future and realizing they have the power to dream, believe, and change their world.
On this #GivingTuesday, December 3rd, be our hero, and join us in supporting student innovation throughout Ohio. There are many ways to give: be a mentor, volunteer for our events, share our program with your student’s educators, friends, family and your employer. Your cash donation helps us continue to share our program at no cost to any school, program, and student in the state of Ohio.
