The Henry Ford’s Invention Convention Worldwide is pleased to welcome Raytheon Technologies as the title sponsor of Invention Convention U.S. Nationals. The sixth annual event will be titled as Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention U.S. Nationals powered by The Henry Ford. Raytheon Technologies has been a partner and presenting sponsor of Invention Convention U.S. Nationals since 2016. Held virtually, this year’s competition is anticipating more than 400 participants showcasing their inventions that solve problems they see in their every day lives and issues facing our world. An online awards ceremony hosted on the Invention Convention Worldwide and the social channels of The Henry Ford will take place on June 24, 2021.
“The inventions submitted through Invention Convention show that these students are ready to rise to the challenges we are currently facing and provide the solutions we as adults, might not always see,” said Patricia Mooradian, president and CEO of The Henry Ford. “They’re not only the innovators of tomorrow, but the innovators of today. We look forward to celebrating all of their hard work and thank our partners at Raytheon Technologies for assisting us in providing the mentorship needed to take these inventors to the next level.”
“The team building skills and hands-on experience gained through Invention Convention competition are invaluable to all students,” said Pam Erickson, Raytheon Technologies’ chief communications officer and head of corporate social responsibility. “Fostering an innovative spirit and career aspiration will lead to a work-ready, diverse talent pipeline for the jobs of the future.”

Students compete at local and regional levels before advancing to the U.S. national competition. Students without access to local competitions are welcome to participate by submitting a video presentation of their invention, a prototype, an inventor’s logbook showing the journey of their invention process, and a poster board highlighting key points of the invention process.
