Kid Inventor Friday with Arianna Anderson

April 14, 2020

We’re thrilled to have kicked off our first ever Kid Inventor Friday with Arianna Anderson, the creator of the Epic Mask.  Her invention is a mask made of cotton and sterile pads that utilizes activated carbon as well as essential oils to relieve different symptoms and to protect against airborne elements.

Three years ago, after listening to news coverage of the flu, Arianna wanted people to use the mask to prevent the spread of illnesses.  She has continued to innovate on her design throughout the years.   With COVID-19, her invention is more relevant than ever, and she is now making masks for donation locally in Connecticut.

Watch this video to hear her amazing journey of innovation, and her inspiring message to other young inventors.

Kid Inventor Fridays are part of The Henry Ford’s We Are Innovation Nation, which is providing classroom curriculum and resources free to students everywhere. We’ll provide meaningful online facilitation for parents and together we’ll ignite the spark of innovation, ingenuity and resourcefulness in our young people everyone.  Learn more about this exciting program.

Be sure to tune in to The Henry Ford’s Facebook Live at Noon (EST) for Kid Inventor Friday!  We’ll also be posting the interview on our YouTube page to watch after.
