Why Sponsor CIC?

CIC is supported by those who understand the value of teaching invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship to the next generation of problem solvers. CIC corporate and foundation supporters understand that in order to assure a pipeline of a qualified, skilled workforce for the 21st Century, we have to all work together to foster students’ interest in STEM and “catch them early” to keep their options open for careers in engineering and technology.

Sponsors Choose CIC because, by serving STEM education to thousands of young minds, it serves Connecticut too. We continue to reach out to new districts and schools, especially in underserved urban schools, to bring this important educational experience to more students.

Ways to Sponsor CIC

All Donations Are Fully Tax Deductible

Corporate support can come in the form of financial support of CIC programs, in-kind support of CIC’s needs, as well as through employee volunteerism in local and state-wide events. CIC provides opportunities for corporations and foundations to fund specific interests through “Sponsor Awards” at Annual State Finals event. CIC also works with funders to focus on specific geographic areas of Connecticut (Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, New London/Groton, Waterbury, and Danbury) to help with jump-starting CIC programs in under-served cities and towns where the need for CIC programs is the greatest.

As CIC partners, corporate and foundation supporters enjoy visibility through recognition at the CIC Sate event, on the CIC website and its print publications. The best reward is knowing they have contributed to the inspiration which young inventors draw from being recognized for ingenuity and creativity.

CIC is a 501(c)(3) organization that is independently funded and operated.  Donations made using the link below are in direct support of CIC.  Donations made through other linked pages, such as Invention Convention Worldwide, will not be directed to CIC.

  • Corporate Sponsorship

The CIC welcomes corporate support of its goals and mission to give "every child, in every school district the opportunity to become an inventor once, better twice." Significant recognition is always provided and employees of our sponsors have many opportunities to volunteer as well. As we are in the process of updating our publication, Sponsorship Opportunities for 2018-19, please contact Susan at susan@ctinventionconvention.org for specific areas of need.
  • Grants

CIC welcomes the opportunity to submit requests for grant funding towards a specific educational initiative. If you know of an opportunity that we should consider, please notify us at susan@ctinventionconvention.org.
  • Individual Donations

All donations are fully tax deductible. Please contact susan@ctinventionconvention.org or simply donate now via our PayPal Secure Server. Please remember to check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program.
  • Sponsor Judging

Many of the CIC’s sponsors support the CIC through the involvement of their employees as volunteer judges at local and state-wide invention events. The CIC highly values the interest and dedication of its 500+ volunteer judges and welcomes new judges to explore this fulfilling volunteer activity. Judges who have an interest in encouraging young inventors by investing of a few hours of their time, will be guided and mentored in how to judge inventions. Training is provided by the CIC and new judges are paired with veteran judges at competitions.
