The Invention Convention helps students use their natural curiosity and imagination to learn how to think critically by identifying problems and discovering new solutions.

The Invention Convention program is available to every student & school district throughout the state of Ohio at no charge.

• Mentor young inventors and act as an inspirational guide for innovation toward the future workforce of Ohio.

• Provide financial support, sponsoring free assemblies, curriculum, scholarships and more for every child to participate in Invention Convention statewide.



  • Your gift makes an impact, thank you.

    • $35 sends one student to their Regional Competition.

    • $150 hosts an assembly for 1 school for up to 400 students.

    • $250 grants a 2nd place winner a College Advantage Scholarship in his/her name.

    • $450 hosts a community night for a school district.

    • $500 grants a 1st place winner a College Advantage Scholarship in his/her name.

    • $1,000 grants two, 1st place winners College Advantage 529 scholarships in his/her name

    • $2,500 gifts the Grand Prize winner an Edison Scholarship for continuing education

    • $5,000 provides up to ten students w/ college scholarships

    • $10,000 provides a regional venue for 250 participating students and over 1,500 parents/supporters

    • $25,000 provides six full weeks of assemblies to school districts statewide (for free to the district)

  • To keep our costs low and our student scholarships as high as possible, the Invention Convention relies on their small staff and very talented pool of local volunteers.  No matter what your age or profession, if you love working with students and believe in the importance of teaching our youth critical thinking skills, we’d love to talk with you about a role as a volunteer on our team.
